Georgina was working at House of Fraser in London when she realised that she was good at analysing numbers – and not only that, she loved doing it. She joined KPMG where she qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser and Chartered Accountant, before moving to a smaller regional firm where she worked with the international tax partner. Her next role was as part of the tax planning team at a high profile regional business, working with a range of highly entrepreneurial clients – a demanding role that she says fundamentally changed her. Georgina has progressed exceptionally quickly in her career so far, a testament to her ability to establish strong relationships with clients and create successful, innovative solutions to their problems.
Outside work Georgina has always harboured a glamorous dream: one day she would own her own pig. Sadly her current garden isn’t big enough, so her compromise is a pair of pugs – basically pigs in dogs’ bodies. The pugs are not only extraordinarily greedy, they’re also lazy, often lying down in the road halfway through a walk. So Georgina can often be found strolling around the Somerset lanes carrying a pair of small, chunky dogs.
